Langoustine fishing is found throughtout Scottish waters but is especially important in the Highlands and Islands.
In many places langoustine fishing has replaced the more traditional creel fishing for lobsters and crabs. Most of the langoustines caught are sold abroad especially to Spain. Some langoustines can be found in local seafood restaurants and are considered a great delicacy.
Skye Images has a selection of images showing trawling and creel fishing of Skye langoustines as well as dishes in seafood restaurants.
